Piper had a great encouragement for parents.

I want to encourage you as well. Pray for your children constantly. Pray for their future spouse, college, and career. Pray for their current friends, relationships, daily decisions, and studies. Most importantly, pray for their spiritual growth. Pray that God will reveal His grace and love to them.

As parents, we have a great responsibility for shaping and molding them into men and women of God. We can influence, encourage and support. However, we are unable in our own strength to cause life change. It is God and His Word that brings a change in our children’s will. Bless your children by praying for them daily.
