How to know right from wrong according to 1 Corinthians
Question 1: Is it helpful – physically, spiritually, and mentally?
1 Corinthians 6:12, “Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial.”
Question 2:Does it bring me under its power?
1 Corinthians 6:12, “Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.”
Question 3: Does it hurt others?
1 Corinthians 8:13, “Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will neer eat meat again so that I will not cause him to fall.”
Question 4: Does it glorify God?
1 Corinthians 10:31, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
“We Christians must simplify our lives or lose untold treasures on earth and in eternity.
Modern civilization is so complex as to make the devotional life all but impossible. It wears us out by multiplying distractions and beats us down by destroying our solitude, where otherwise we might drink and renew our strength before going out to face the world again.”
A.W. Tozer, of God and men (Christian Publications, Harrisburg, PA, USA).
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to see the Banner of Truth located in Carlisle, PA. It was great meeting with the director Steve Burlew. He showed me around their location. If you are not sure what Banner of Truth is they publish and distribute Christian books that as Steve said, will stand the test of time. These resources are so valuable to the advancement of God’s kingdom. If you haven’t read any of Jonathan Edwards, John Owen, Martyn Lloyd Jones and others, go to their website, purchase a book or two you will not be disappointed.
Youth Group will be cancelled on October 31, 2007. We will resume on November 7, 2007.
Here is the completion of our new youth room. We are very excited to have a great space to meet. Enjoy the pictures. Come out and join us on Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM, Twinbrook Community Church located in Rockville, Maryland, Grades 6-12 welcome. We like to do Bible study’s together and fellowship with one another.
Here is the information about the concert. It is $35 a ticket. If you are interested we need your money in hand. Deadline to sign up is Sunday, October 21st. If I don’t have money in hand, your ticket will not be ordered. Then it would be up to you to purchase on your own. Looking forward to it.

I wanted to pass on an email I received from the Metro DC director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It is a Christian club where you are able to network with other Christians in your schools. If there is a huddle in your school, I encourage you to check it out. You do not have to be an athlete to attend.
OUR VISION
To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.
OUR MISSION
To present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
OUR VALUES
INTEGRITY, SERVING, TEAMWORK, EXCELLENCE
