Please continue to pray for our Christian kids. Pray that they will continue to pray for their friends and show them love and compassion.
I wanted to share an awesome testimony for you all. A few weeks ago, our youth group attended a See You Before Rally sponsored by the local Youth Leaders Network in our area. It was a fun time to talk about the event and get together with other youth groups.
A few days later, one of my youth messaged me. He and his mom were going to go to the PTA meeting to ask the principal to have a See You at the Pole at his High School. I was like really that’s great. The principal responded positively to the idea. He set up a meeting with the principal for Monday after school. He invited me to come to that meeting.
Sunday after church, We met to talk about what we were going to do. We made flyers and had our plan taken from the SYATP website. We were ready for our meeting with the principal.
Monday, the meeting with the principal went so well. Jason gave her the flyer and the plan of what was going to take place. She was behind it 100 percent. She approved an announcement during school and allowed him to post flyers. Also, she gave names of students, teachers and security who were Christians in the school. Before we closed the meeting, Jason was able to pray for his principal and for the event. It was a great moment.
Wednesday, Jason began the event reading Scripture and explaining the purpose of the prayer time. After a few Scripture readings, we broke in two groups to pray for the students, faculty and administration. The amazing thing was we started with about 15. A few minutes later, there were about 60 students and faculty around the flagpole praying. It was great to see. Afterwards, the faculty and students were so appreciative of the prayer time.
I came back for lunch to meet with the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes group and all the students were so excited of what took place this morning. A few of the students mentioned to Jason that we should be praying regularly for our schools. They are right.
This should remind us to always pray for the young people in schools today. The students, faculty, administration and our country needs God to change their hearts. They need the Lord’s guidance, protection, strength and wisdom every day.
2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
See You at the Pole, scheduled at Gaithersburg High School, tomorrow, September 26, 2007 at 7:00A.M. It is set aside time for prayer for the students, faculty, administration, the leaders of our nation. This national day of prayer will take place at schools all over the country. Please be in prayer that the Gospel will go forth and lives will be changed. Come out and join us at the flagpole of Gaithersburg High School.
David Crowder’s remedy released today. Can we expect anything less than greatness for this one. He has some great instrumental which is his trademark. It sounded very modern and a little techno on a couple of the songs. The songs I have enjoyed the content are the Glory Of It All, Everything Glorious, Rain Down, Remedy. Great stuff go out and pick it up.
Also, I want to recommend another band called the Escape is releasing their debut album, Screenplay on their website. Check them out at photonicrecords.com
Have a great day.
I am happy to announce that I have been accepted into Reformed Theological Seminary, DC Campus. I will be pursuing my Master’s of Divinity. I have signed up for one class to start out. Systematic Theology IV, we will be discussing the sacraments and ecclesiology. For those of you not sure of the two words I just said, the sacraments are the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. Ecclesiology means the doctrine of the church. I have attended my first two classes. It is going well. I’m very thankful and excited for the new challenge that lies ahead. Please pray for me that I will do well in my classes. A great resource that they have made available if you are unable to take classes. RTS Virtual offer for free on itunes several courses. These are the classes in their entirety. If you are looking for a great school to further your studies, I highly recommend RTS. For Pastors, they offer a Church partnership program which will assist with the cost of school. www.rts.edu
There is a Bible study program called e-sword (PC version available only). Here is the greatest part of this Bible resource. It is a free download. There are extras you can download for free and pay. It comes with several free Bible translations, commentaries, devotionals, and even whole books you can download. For example, you can download the complete version of the Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin. Enjoy.

Paul Baloche’s new cd called God Saves set to release on September 18, 2007. After his latest release Greater Song and seeing the track listing this will be a great cd. He has compilations with Matt Redman, Kathryn Scott who sang Hungry and Breathe, Brenton Brown from the Vineyard UK Hungry collection. A rendition of How Great Thou Art and Neil Bennett’s Great Redeemer. He is a great worship leader and song writer. A Greater Song is one of those cd’s you can put in and let play while you are praising God. He has some great tools on his website www.leadworship.com. You can easily see he is passionate about teaching worship. Here are the words from Great Redeemer.
Who is like You Lord of heaven
King of Glory throned in majesty
You are holy You are holy
Who can fathom all the riches
Of Your mercy of Your faithfulness
You are worthy You are worthy
O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise
The honors of His name
Awake my soul and celebrate
The wonders of His grace
Let heaven and earth join in the song
For You are holy You are holy
