I hurt my knee again last night playing basketball. Same one as a month ago. Monday morning is my MRI. He said, my ACL is fine but he is concerned about the lateral part of my knee. It could be a another knee sprain. I know God is the great physician and He is able. Thanks for your prayers.
I realized that Caedmon’s Call released a greatest hits cd called Thankful on July 10th. Itunes does not have the whole album but thankfully pun intended family christian has the whole enchilada. This is a band I loved during the college years (98-02). They have a great alternative yet worshipful tone. The voices in the band are amazing. A friend of mine told me that they sound just like the album live in concert. If you have missed some of their hits this would be a great cd to catch you up. They are about to release a new album on August 28, 2007 called Overdressed on the same day as Casting Crowns new album.
An up and coming band that we saw play at the Hawk Nelson concert called the Send releases their new album Cosmos on July 31, 2007. If your a Hawk Nelson fan you would enjoy this cd.

There is your late July upcoming release music overload.
Third Day Chronology 2 is set to release on August 7, 2007. This album will cover the Third Day years from 2001-2006. Tons of live performances, new tracks and videos. It will be a great one for all Third Day fans.
It will be $16.00 a ticket for faith night. Let me know by Sunday and bring money. Nationals vs Cardinals plus Mercy me how you can you pass on that. August 5, 1:35pm game starts. Concert will follow the game.
This Sunday is Youth Sunday at church. Please get there at 10:00am if you want to run through your skit. Be ready to share memory verses plus testimonies.
I want to give you all a heads up. Faith Night is coming to the Washington Nationals. The event will take place at the Washington Nationals vs. St. Louis Cardinals game on Sunday, August 5th. The game starts at 1:35P.M. Which means directly after church we will need to hop on the metro to make it to the game on time. After the game, Mercy Me will perform. If you do not know who Mercy Me is check out www.mercyme.org. They are writers of the song, “I Can Only Imagine.” They have great contemporary Christian music. Let’s make this not only a youth event but open it up to families to come as well.
The tickets for the game if you sit in the upper deck are going to range anywhere from $5.00 to $10.00 plus convenience fees. I would say $15.00 a ticket plus whatever food you want to eat at the ballpark. Let me know if you are interested in going to this event. Jason and I had a great time at the Bowie Baysox faith night with Hawk Nelson. The concert was unbelievable. Any place you were, you had a great view of the band and the field for that matter. I’m sure there will be a few more people for the Nationals than the Baysox but what a great way to spend a Sunday summer afternoon.
P.S. Camp is Friday, meet at the church at 12:30P.M. Eat before you come.
Camp is this weekend. We will be meeting at the church on Friday at 12:30pm. Please make sure you eat before you come. Here is a list of things to bring. Here’s what not to bring electronic devices. Any questions let me know.
I was listening to a lot of music trying to figure out what songs to play at youth camp this year. I came across this one by Chris Tomlin on his “Arriving” album. The cd is really good. If you do not have it you are missing out.
There are trials that may come but guess what God is on our side.
Everyone around the world, hear the joyful sound
See the heavens open up, hear the music comin down
Nothing’s gonna separate us from the Father’s Love
I can’t help but celebrate ’cause we’re not alone
If God is on our side, who can be against us
If God is on our side, we won’t be afraid
Though the mountains may fall and the sky will crumble
There ain’t nothing gonna stand in our way
Come on down to the riverside wash it all away
Leave behind Your troubled mind for an uncloudy day
Nothing’s gonna separate us from the Father’s Love
I can’t help but celebrate ’cause we’re not alone
Romans 8:28-39
More Than Conquerors
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[j] who[k] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[l] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
