We are having a Armand’s Pizza Day after church on Sunday, June 3, 2007. As always, 20 percent of your bill will go towards UDY. Please come out and join us. It is the Armand’s located on Halpine Rd. Nothing like going to church and having lunch plans already made for you. Plus, it’s the Pizza salad bar, how can you pass that up?
We have been confirmed to volunteer at the Manna Food Center on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 7:00pm-9:00pm. The address is Manna Food Center 614 Lofstrand Lane, Rockville, MD 20850. Come ready to work by packing boxes of food. This would count as community service work for school. You can meet at the location. If you need a ride contact someone who lives close to you. Also, invite your family to come with you. The more help the merrier.
I wanted to release the camp information to you. I will be making available registration sheets to you next week. Here are the details. This year it is at Camp Deep Creek in Accident, Maryland. You have to love that city name right. Anyway, the cost this year will be $120.00. The camp dates will be July 13-15. We will be going through the book Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges. We are planning to get shirts this year which is included in your cost. More details to come as it gets closer. THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS JUNE 24, 2007 MONEY AND FORMS ARE DUE.
It’s time I release the good and bad news for some about Passion. The good news is Passion 08 will be February 22 and 23 at the Patriot Center at George Mason. The cost is 79 for registration. However, the bad news is it limited to college ages between 18 to 25 and a small group of High School Seniors. I apologize to those who were looking forward to this event and who are not old enough to attend. Although, do not lose heart because you know Tomlin and the crew will be coming to town sometime next year. When, the next tour comes through you will know about it.
There has been a wonderful alteration in my mind, in respect to the doctrine of God’s sovereignty…The doctrine has very often appeared exceeding pleasant, bright and sweet. Absolute sovereignty is what I love to ascribe to God.
